Make a backup and transfer all relevant data to your Smart Lock Ultra
Are you already using a Nuki Smart Lock and are interested in a Smart Lock Ultra? With the new backup feature, the transfer is very easy. Simply make a backup of your current Smart Lock and transfer all relevant data to your new Smart Lock Ultra.
Your Smart Lock Ultra comes with new locking speeds
Do you want your Smart Lock to be as fast as possible so that you don’t have to wait in front of your door? Do you want it to be smooth so it does not disturb you while you are concentrating? Nuki created three new locking speed modes for you: Insane, Standard and Gentle. You can select your preferred mode within your Nuki App.
Do you want your Smart Lock to be fast during the day and smooth while you sleep? Simply use Insane as your preferred locking speed. Next, activate Night Mode and enable Gentle locking during night mode.
DIY installation of your Smart Lock Ultra and the Universal Cylinder
The Smart Lock Ultra comes with the Nuki Universal Cylinder. To make installation as easy as possible, we created app flows to guide you through the unmounting of your existing cylinder and the mounting of the Universal Cylinder and the Smart Lock Ultra.
Enhanced security code for your Smart Lock Ultra
The 4-digit has changed to a mandatory 6-digit security code to make your Smart Lock even more secure. From now on, this code will also be used during bluetooth pairing. But don’t worry: The Nuki app can remember this code for you as usual.
Nuki supports iOS 18
With this release, Nuki supports iOS 18 features: You can now add Nuki controls so you can easily lock and unlock your door from the Control Center.
With iOS 18 you can also choose a dark look for your home screen or tint icons and widgets. We made sure that Nuki fits those new modes.
Interactive Widgets
Lock your Nuki device and check its status at a glance: We are releasing new interactive widgets for your iOS home screen. There are two main functionalities for the Widgets:
Display status
Within the widget you can always see the status of your Smart Lock, Opener or Smart Door:
- Lock state: See if your device is locked or unlocked.
- Battery state: Receive a warning if your battery is running low.
- Door state: If your device is connected to a door sensor, the widget also shows you whether your door is open or closed.
Lock actions
You can now add up to two lock actions to your widget. When pressing the lock action button your device performs the action immediately without having to open the app anymore. This makes the locking even faster.
How to receive the current state? Simply reload the widget by tapping the button on the top right corner. Also, if you lock your device via the widget, it updates the status.
Note: You need iOS 17 or above to use the new Nuki widgets.
Performance improvements and bug fixes
We have also been working on minor changes and improvements in the background. This makes the Nuki App run even more smoothly.
