We are excited to announce the latest firmware update for the Smart Lock and Smart Lock Pro (4th Generation). Here are the improvements and new features you can expect:
Unlocking and opening the door with Matter 1.2
The Matter standard 1.2 distinguishes between unlocking and opening the door. With this firmware update, you can unlock your door without pulling the latch.
For now, this new feature is only available in case you use Home Assistant a Matter Hub.
Other Smart Home platforms will also support this distinction of locking actions in the future.
Improved remote access for your Smart Lock
In this firmware version, we have made significant improvements to the stability of remote access. This update includes changes to enhance the stability of the Wi-Fi connection for the Smart Lock Pro as well as Remote Access via Thread.
Performance improvements and bug fixes
- Previously, when opening the door, the latch was sometimes not adequately pulled. With this firmware update, we ensure that the "Open door" locking action is executed correctly again.
- We've included some improvements to optimize the overall power consumption of the Smart Lock Pro.
- You can easily integrate your Smart Lock Pro into your home automation with MQTT. With this update, we further enhance the user experience but also the stability for our customers.
- Minor changes and improvements in the background ensure that the Smart Lock runs even more smoothly.
