Depending on your setup, there are different ways to bring your device online.
- The Smart Locks Ultra and Pro of 4th Generation and 3.0 come with a built-in Wi-Fi module, so you don’t need any additional accessories to manage your device remotely. The setup is straightforward, requiring a Wi-Fi network with a standard 2.4 GHz signal. The built-in Wi-Fi supports integrations via Nuki Web and MQTT.
- If you're using the Smart Lock Ultra or a Smart Lock 4th Generation you can use Remote Access via Thread. To use this option, you’ll need a Smart Home hub that supports Matter via Thread. Thread provides high stability and low battery consumption. This option supports integrations via Nuki Web, MQTT, and Matter.
- If you're using a Smart Lock 4th Generation or a previous version: You can also use the Nuki Bridge. The setup is straightforward, requiring a Wi-Fi network with a standard 2.4 GHz signal. Once connected, you can integrate your devices through Nuki Web or use the Bridge API.
Note on Wi-Fi 6 and WPA3:
Neither the Smart Lock nor the Bridge currently support Wi-Fi 6 or the WPA3 security standard. Please use a Wi-Fi network with a standard 2.4 GHz signal and the WPA2/3-Mixed mode for smooth operation.
