How can I control my U.S. Smart Lock remotely?

There are different ways to connect your Smart Lock to the internet, depending on your setup.

  • Your Smart Lock comes with a built-in Wi-Fi module, so you don’t need any additional accessories to manage your device remotely. The setup is straightforward, requiring a Wi-Fi network with a standard 2.4 GHz signal. The built-in Wi-Fi supports integrations via Nuki Web and MQTT.
  • You can also use Remote Access via Thread. To use this option, you’ll need a Smart Home hub that supports Matter via Thread. Thread provides high stability and low battery consumption. This option supports integrations via Nuki Web, MQTT, and Matter.
Note on Nuki Premium:

We are discontinuing our Nuki Premium service. Did you activate it previously? Don't worry — all features will remain available to you. From now on, selected features such as Remote Access will be included automatically.

Note on Wi-Fi 6, WPA3 and 5 GHz network:

Neither the Smart Lock nor the Bridge currently support Wi-Fi 6, the WPA3 security standard, or the 5 GHz network signal. Therefore, please use a Wi-Fi network with a 2.4 GHz signal and WPA2/3 mixed mode for smooth operation.
