Resolve calibration error when using a Door Sensor (0x33)

This article concerns:
  • Door Sensor
  • Smart Lock 3.0 and newer

You will find a button on the back of the Door Sensor.

Button on the top left back corner of the door sensor

Once the sensor is mounted, the button will be pressed permanently. If the Door Sensor or mounting plate becomes loose or is removed, the button will be released. You will then be notified through the Nuki App that the Door Sensor has been removed. You will need to calibrate it again.

To calibrate the Door Sensor, the button must be pressed fully. Is this not possible? Please check:

  • Surface/Door frame
If the surface that the sensor is mounted on is uneven, the button cannot be fully pressed.
To level out small irregularities, you can simply attach a piece of tape.
  • Adhesive pad
If you are not using the sensor's original adhesive pad, check its thickness and replace it if necessary.
  • Mounting plate and Door Sensor
The sensor and mounting plate must be firmly attached to each other to ensure that the button is pressed sufficiently.
