You have several options to manage the In-Home Delivery service. You can control the access to your home, see if the Austrian Post delivered your parcel, you can change the device and of course always leave the program if you wish.
Manage the access to your home for In-Home Delivery
You always have control over when the courier enters your home. There are two options for you to manage access: control locking actions and define or change a delivery window.
Control locking actions
You can change the “Allow locking” option for the courier to manage access.
- Tap on the Smart Lock in the Nuki app that is currently used by Austrian Post to open your door.
- Enter the device settings and go to “Lock Permissions” “Users”.
- Tap on the user “Nuki In-Home Delivery (Post)” and switch “Allow locking” according to your preferences.
Define or change a delivery window
By setting a delivery window, you can define days and a time span. Only within this delivery window do couriers have access to your home.
When joining the In-Home Delivery service the Nuki app asks you to define a delivery window. You can always change the delivery window later:
- Tap on the Smart Lock in the Nuki app that is currently used by Austrian Post to open your door.
- Enter the device settings and go to “Lock Permissions” “Users”.
- Select the user “Nuki In-home Delivery (Post)” and tap on “Time-limited access”. Now you can change the delivery window.
The courier cannot open your door outside of your chosen time.
How do I know if the Post entered my home for In-Home Delivery?
You can always see when a courier enters your home. There are two options for getting this information via the Nuki app:
- You can check the activity log in your Nuki app. The activity log tracks every lock action of your Smart Lock and you can see when the Austrian Post entered your home.
- If you want to receive push notifications you need to activate Nuki Web.
The Nuki Door Sensor gives you even more information: With the Door Sensor you cannot only see the lock state but also if your door is open or closed.
Joining again or changing the Nuki device for In-Home Delivery
You want to use another Smart Lock for the In-Home Delivery service or join the program again? For this, you need to delete the current permission used by Austrian Post. Then, you have to join again with the new Smart Lock.
- Tap on the Smart Lock in the Nuki app that is currently used by Austrian Post to open your door.
- Enter the device settings and go to “Lock Permissions” “Users”.
- Now tap on the user “Nuki In-Home Delivery (Post)” and delete it. After deleting the user, join again.
In some cases, it might be easier for you to manage the access to your home. With this, you can always control the time span during which the Post courier enters your home.
Leaving the In-Home Delivery program
You want to leave the In-Home Delivery service? All you need to do is to delete the user permission used by the Austrian Post.
- Tap on the Smart Lock in the Nuki app that is currently used by Austrian Post to open your door.
- Enter the device settings and go to "“Lock Permissions” “Users”.
- Tap on the user “Nuki In-Home Delivery (Post)” and delete it.
Now the Austrian Post no longer has access to your Smart Lock.
