Smart Lock Pro (5th Gen.) and Ultra (built-in batteries)
By default, the Smart Lock Pro and Ultra charge up to 80 % to protect the battery. Learn more about the charge limit.
- Power supply: Use the magnetic charging cable (2 m, USB-C to magnetic plug) for charging. It is included in the delivery. Use a power supply with a minimum of 10 watts.
-
Check charging: The red segment of the LED ring blinks red for 15 seconds to indicate that you could activate the “Charging off the door” mode. After that, it glows, dimmed. As soon as it is fully charged, the red segment turns off again.
Also, try gently twisting the cable left and right while it's plugged in.
Alternatively check the Nuki App: Enter the device settings and go to "Features & Configuration" > "Battery".

Smart Lock Go (and previous) with a Power Pack
If you plug in the Nuki Power Pack for charging while the battery of the Power Pack is still over 75 %, the charging process does not start. This is to protect the battery.
- Power supply: We recommend charging your Power Pack with the enclosed USB cable. For optimal performance, we recommend the Amazon 5W USB Original Charger and Power Adapter.
-
Check charging: To see if your Power Pack is charging, simply check that the white LED on the Power Pack is flashing.
If you bought your Smart Lock or Power Pack before July 2024: It does not support fast charging (Power Delivery). Therefore, a modern charger that uses Power Delivery may not work. The new Power Packs (sold after July 2024) support this technology.

Firmware Update
Problems can sometimes occur due to outdated software. Therefore, check whether the latest firmware version is installed on your Smart Lock. To do so, tap on your Smart Lock in the Nuki App and enter the lock settings. Then go to “Features & Configuration” and choose “Firmware update”. Then, follow the instructions in the Nuki App to update your Smart Lock firmware.
We recommend allowing automatic firmware updates to keep your device up to date.
