Nuki Power Pack—developed and recommended by Nuki

With the Nuki Power Pack, you benefit from an optimal power supply for your Smart Lock 4th Generation and previous versions. It was developed by Nuki and optimized for those Smart Lock types. This guarantees the best experience and longest battery life for Smart Lock 4th Generation and previous generations. The Power Pack can be easily retrofitted for those Smart Locks.

Rechargeable batteries

You can also use rechargeable batteries, such as Akkus Panasonic Eneloop Pro, for the Smart Lock 4th Generation and previous versions. Nuki has tested them. These batteries last about twice as long as alkaline batteries. Furthermore, they are rechargeable and thus more environmentally friendly than alkaline batteries.

Lithium batteries

Lithium batteries (e.g. Energizer Ultimate Lithium) can also be used to power the Smart Lock 4th Generation and previous versions. They are highly durable and last up to three times as long as alkaline batteries, but they are significantly more expensive.

Alkaline batteries

The Smart Lock 4th Generation and previous versions will automatically detect if alkaline batteries or rechargeable batteries are used. This optimizes the respective limits for the battery warning. You can also configure the battery type manually. Tap on the desired Smart Lock and enter the lock settings. Then go to "Features & Configuration" > "Battery". Here, you can choose to automatically detect the battery, or you can select the power supply manually.
Please note that cheap batteries from discount stores will be depleted faster and the battery warning might appear shortly after the battery change.
