This article concerns:
- Keypad 2 NFC
- Smart Lock Ultra, Pro (5th Gen), Go
- Smart Lock (4th Gen.)
- Which Smart Lock do I have?
If you selected Smart Home Mode for Tap to Unlock and it's not working properly, this article will help you troubleshoot the issue.
The Keypad is not responding to my phone. There is no LED signalization.
- Open your wallet app: Does it include the matching home key to unlock your Smart Lock?
- Go to your Nuki App. Tap on your Smart Lock and go to “Settings” > “Keypad”. Make sure that the Keypad is in Smart Home Mode.
- Check if NFC is turned on in the settings of your mobile device.
- Note that NFC only has a range of a few centimeters. Check the exact location of your phone's or smartwatch's NFC antenna. Hold your phone or smartwatch close to the NFC icon on the keypad, which is located just above the fingerprint sensor. Hold it there for a few seconds, until the keypad's LED wave stops flashing.
Other users are not receiving invitations for my Smart Lock.
- Check the Apple Home or SmartThings app of invited people for an invitation. After accepting the invitation, they must also add the Home Key to their Wallet app.
- If the invitation is not sent, please check the Apple or Samsung support pages.
My family members and friends cannot use the Smart Home Mode.
- If you or your family members and friends cannot fulfill the brand-specific requirements for mobile devices and hubs, you can still use Tap to Unlock in the Nuki App Mode. Alternatively, you can add fingerprints and entry codes for them.
- Note: A mixed mode (Smart Home Mode and Nuki App Mode) is not possible.
The Keypad 2 NFC reacts to my phone, but it does not unlock the door.
- Go to your Nuki App and check your Smart Lock activity log.
- Open your Smart Home app. Check if the access rights are set correctly.
- Also, check the Keypad 2 NFC LED signalization.
