Smart Lock Ultra: Mounting and Installation

Tip: Use the Nuki App

You will need the Nuki App to mount the Smart Lock Ultra with the Universal Cylinder. Simply open the Nuki App, tap on the menu (three bars at the top left corner), and select "Manage devices". If you are new to Nuki, open the App and select "Set up device". The Nuki App will guide you through mounting.

Check the base ring:

Before you start the mounting process, please check your base ring. Your Smart Lock comes with a black or white base ring already installed. Push it all the way against the stainless steel body. Make sure the ring does not cover the black mounting button on the back side of the Smart Lock. It must move freely.  
To change the base ring, press the small black mounting button that holds the base ring in place. You can then remove the ring and slide the other one onto the Smart Lock.

General information about the Universal Cylinder

The Nuki Universal Cylinder is designed as a modular solution, covering common cylinder dimensions and allowing for individual adaptation to various doors. It is delivered pre-assembled. The inner and outer lengths correspond to the most common sizes. Therefore, you may not need to change the inner and outer dimensions.

Security class SKG***

Your universal cylinder corresponds to the highest possible security class SKG***. Be aware of the certification restrictions:

  • Do you have a glass window through which your Smart Lock can be seen? Then the certification only applies if the glass is P4A laminated.
  • Do you have a glass window through which your Smart Lock can be seen and is your door made of wood? Besides the P4A laminated glass you should also use a SKG (V) certified anti-drill / manipulation device.
  • Do you have a frosted glass window? No problem, the certification is valid.
